You don’t get paid what you are worth, you get paid what you negotiate.
It is essential that you value your knowledge, skills and abilities, charge appropriately and be comfortable discussing fees with clients.  When you discount in practice, you are taking money out of your own pocket and affecting the practice profitability.
You may have been raised to work hard and you will be rewarded.  It doesn’t work that way anymore.  You have to learn to communicate your value to the practice and negotiate an increase in your income and benefits.
