I discussed how my initial experiences in practice shaped my desire to help veterinarians cope with the challenges we face. If I had known it wasn’t just me who struggled in those early years, it would have made the world of difference!
Being brave to me is taking a stand on issues I am passionate about, despite my fear of judgement and worry about what others may think.
Being brave shows you what you are capable of. I remember when self-doubt, uncertainty and fear kept me small in the progression of my career. Learning that it was ok to ask for help and accepting I didn’t know made a massive difference. Learning how to change how I perceived failure and mistakes made a massive difference in my career.
